William Voaden

Councillor

I live on the Common in Dorney with my wife Mo. We thoroughly enjoy living here with our dog Tara, and two Maine Coon cats. I am a keen cyclist and have cycled all over the world.

I started my working life as a Land Agent for English China Clays in the West Country, dealing with their agricultural estate and town and country planning matters, including appearing as an expert witness on various property matters. I was then transferred to the mineral side of the business, valuing assets and companies worldwide.

I moved to London, becoming an equity partner in a property firm, and acquired a City mineral finance business which I ran for ten years before semi–retiring.

Moving to Dorney in 2016 re-ignited my passion for building conservation to the extent that in 2019 I enrolled on a building conservation course at York University and was awarded my MSc in 2021.

I hope my previous experience will assist me in my new role as a Dorney Parish Councillor.
