Bio:
I was introduced to Dorney by my Partner who has lived here for most of her life, and she attended Dorney School. I have lived in Dorney for the last sixteen years and enjoy the relaxed and endearing rural lifestyle of the village.
I started attending the Dorney Parish Council Meetings some years ago. Prior to the May elections I put my ‘name in the hat’ to become a Councillor and to having a small say in shaping life in Dorney for all its residents.
My career has been in the Hospitality Industry, mainly in London working for a variety of corporate entities and also a period at the House of Commons. My current role focusses on the broader aspect of Facilities Management including Security, as we often have high profile visitors. We have welcomed most senior members of the Royal Family, three Prime Ministers and other politicians including a President of the United States of America.
I am a member of The Institute of Facilities and Workplace Management; The Institution of Engineering and Technology and I am a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality. I am also a Qualified Scuba Diver, a highly experienced Motor Race Marshal and have an interest in classic cars and cycling.
Walking our dogs across Dorney Common and the surrounding areas is also most pleasurable!
I look forward to the challenges that being a Dorney Parish Councillor will bring and hope that we as a group can continue to improve life in village.
